1. Bookings & Confirmation
1.1 A booking is not confirmed until Catera has received a non-refundable booking fee of AUD 500 (or such other amount as notified) and issued written confirmation.
1.2 By paying the booking fee, the Client accepts these Terms & Conditions in full.
1.3 A 10% surcharge applies to Services delivered on public holidays.
2. Quotations & Validity
2.1 All quotations are valid for 3 days from date of issue.
2.2 Catera reserves the right to revise pricing if an expired quotation is accepted after its expiry.
2.3 A quotation does not secure the Event Date or Equipment until the booking fee is paid.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 The outstanding balance becomes due 7 days before the Event Date.
3.2 Payment may be made by bank transfer or credit card; no Services will proceed until full payment clears.
3.3 All amounts quoted are exclusive of GST; GST is payable on all taxable supplies.
4. Security Deposit
4.1 Catera may require a security deposit for Equipment hire.
4.2 The deposit will be refunded within 48 hours of Equipment return—less costs for any loss, breakage or damage.
4.3 Damaged or lost items incur replacement charges at full current value; any shortfall above the deposit is payable by the Client within 7 days.
5. Weather & Outdoor Events
5.1 Catera will not set up outdoor Services if rain, extreme heat or dangerous winds pose a risk to safety or quality.
5.2 Clients should secure an alternative indoor venue or provide appropriate cover; all changes remain subject to the Cancellation policy (clause 10).
6. Venue Requirements
6.1 Catera is based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Delivery and setup within a 5 km radius are included; additional travel fees apply beyond this and will be quoted.
6.2 The Client must ensure legal right of access, parking for a standard commercial van, level entry or lift access within 50 m of setup point, and any necessary permits.
6.3 If access is unsafe or parking is unavailable, Catera may cancel Services for breach of this clause. The Client remains liable for any fines or fees incurred.
7. Care of Equipment
7.1 The Client accepts Equipment in good condition and must handle it with due care.
7.2 The Client is responsible for Equipment from delivery until collection, including any repairs or full replacements for damaged or missing items.
8. Duration of Hire & Late Returns
8.1 Standard hire covers a 3-hour window unless otherwise agreed.
8.2 Late collection or failure to return Equipment on time incurs a fee of 25% of the total hire charge per additional day.
9. Third-Party Suppliers
9.1 Where Catera engages third-party providers (e.g., florists, tent hire), those services remain subject to these Terms & Conditions.
9.2 Catera is not liable for loss or damage caused by third parties; the Client’s sole recourse lies with Catera.
10. Cancellation & Postponement
10.1 The booking fee secures the Event Date and is strictly non-refundable.
10.2 Cancellations more than 14 days before the Event Date incur forfeiture of the booking fee only.
10.3 Cancellations 7–14 days before the Event Date forfeit 50% of the total fee.
10.4 Cancellations within 7 days of the Event Date forfeit 100% of all fees paid.
10.5 To postpone due to adverse weather, the Client must notify Catera at least 72 hours before the Event Date. Postponements with less notice forfeit the booking fee; any increased costs on rebooking are payable by the Client.
11. Liability & Indemnity
11.1 Catera only works with fully insured and HACCP-accredited vendors. Catera is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from venue conditions or Client misuse of Equipment.
11.2 The Client indemnifies Catera against any claims, liabilities or fines resulting from their breach of these Terms & Conditions or venue regulations.
12. Marketing Communications
12.1 By making an enquiry or booking, the Client agrees to receive occasional marketing communications from Catera.
13. Force Majeure
13.1 Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions).
13.2 In such cases, Catera will notify the Client and either reschedule the Services or provide a full refund of amounts paid, at Catera’s discretion.
